What Is Artloca

Artloca is an innovative artwork marketplace that allows you to discover and purchase, stunning artwork from Artists and Galleries, linked to a specific location on earth.

How can you search on artists and galleries

Simply type an artist or galleries name, into the search bar, and you will be redirected to their Artloca store front.

How does shipping work

If your interested in finding out an art piece is shippable to yourself you will first have to look on the artworks description for shipping information, if there is none or is not clear its best to contact the artist through Artloca to workout shipping and the costs involved.

We accept many forms of payment, these include:

 

Buying safely

Before purchasing artwork from a seller check their reviews and shop policies, if available. If you have any questions or concerns, send a message to the seller. 
Transactions with sellers must be finalised within Artloca, so that we can assist you with payment verification and return options should the need arise.

Should the transaction take place outside of Artloca, then we are unable to offer any assistance.

Any custom artworks created via communication with a seller is done at your own risk.

How to login

Once you have registered an account with us, you simply click the account icon at the top right of the screen, this will take you to a login page where you can enter your login details and continue to your profile.

How to purchase artwork

Purchasing couldn’t be easier, first you need to sign up or login. Then find the artwork you would like to purchase and click add to cart.  Once you have added all the artwork you would like to buy to your cart, click on the cart symbol to go to your shopping basket. From here you can continue onto payment and shipping. Thank you for shopping with Artloca!

How to get a refund on an order

Once logged in, go to your dashboard and then to Orders. Select an order you’ve placed, you will then be able to request a return for a refund. Please bear in mind this is down to the seller to approve, and custom artworks cannot be returned.  Shipping costs back to the artist, with tracking, will be your responsibility, unless negotiated with the seller.

What locations can be searched

Anywhere in the world. All artwork and maps on our website have a geographical tag, specific to a place or region on the globe. 

Who owns the artworks

All artwork is uploaded by the artists and galleries themselves, they own the art and we simply provide a global platform for them to sell on.

How are the artists paid?

All sellers are paid through Artloca once items have been shipped. However should a dispute arise, ie, the artwork never arrives or is not what you paid for, then payment to the seller can be stopped and a refund issued.

Can I create a Favourites list

You are able to favourite an artwork to view, or purchase at a later date, by clicking the favourite button on an artwork screen or on the artworks list. Once saved you can access them through your customer profile page.

How to track and check order status

Once logged in, you can go to your account page by clicking the account button at the top right of the page. You will then find a link called “Orders”, clicking this will show all your Artloca orders along with their current order status.

How to get help on an order

You can easily get help on an order by first logging into your account, going to your account dashboard and then clicking on Orders. Select the order you have a problem with then click the “request help on this order” button. You will be asked to describe any problems you are having with the order and when you have completed this, hit the Submit button. An Artloca representative will be in contact to help you sort out your order problem.

How to change account details

Simply login and go to your dashboard, here you will be able to modify your account details on the account page.

How to delete my account

Although we are sad to see you go, all you need to do is go to your account dashboard and click delete account at the bottom. Again, we are sorry to see you go, why not contact us instead and we can try to solve your problems.

Selling on Artloca

How to become a seller on Artloca

First you will need to sign up with a regular Artloca account. Once registered you will find a link to sign up as a seller on your artloca dashboard. You will need to provide details to us as well as documents for verification, before you can sell on Artloca.

Fees and commission scale

Each seller type has different fee scales and commission charges. But the standard artist seller, selling through Artloca, will have the following fee and commission:
– Commission 20% of the artwork sale price, once sold.
– 10p Fee for listing the artwork on Artloca.

Other seller types do not have the listing fee, instead they have a subscription that scales depending on the sellers level, with art galleries being the highest.

How to manage and customise your shop

Once logged into your shop account page, you will be able to modify your shop front, allowing you to add descriptions, branding and shipping details, once done, just save it and your shop front will update automatically.

Posting and shipping

Each seller has different methods of shipping based on where in the world they live, you can modify your shipping methods from your account page and shipping and details. Please make sure to get verified quotes for shipping of your artwork. If you have given the wrong shipping details to a customer you will be liable for any extra costs.

How to login as a seller

To login as a seller, simply login with your standard Artloca account, then once logged in you will be able to switch to your seller account from the top left.

How to manage orders and returns

On your shop account page, you can open all your active orders and returns. Here you will be able to update orders with shipping details, cancel them or offer refunds for returns received. You can also query an order for us to look into in the event there are any order problems.

What can be sold on Artloca

Location based art from any period can be sold on Artloca this could include:

    1. Paintings
    2. Prints
    3. Sculptures and 3D models
    4. Maps
    5. Photos
    6. 3D designed artwork
    7. Anything else related to art and location

Things that cannot be included are:

  • Pornography and mature content, unless it has a context.
  • Artworks created from certain animal products or human remains.
  • Any artworks that contain dangerous or hazardous materials.
  • Art that promotes, supports or glorifies hate.
  • Art that promotes, supports or glorifies violence.
  • Drugs and their paraphernalia.
